It is no secret that I LOVE my 50mm 1.4, so I was a bit skeptical that another lens could be just as amazing. The 85mm 1.8 is my #2 lens though and let me tell you, I often just swoon over the images that come from this fabulous lens. Though I love the editorial images that I get from my 50mm, there is just something about the very intimate, private images that are captured with the 85. This is Jeremy’s favorite lens to shoot with on a wedding day since he can get in a little tighter than I am getting with my 50 and he can get a completely different shot of the same pose. The 85mm 1.8 is amazing for bringing out the romantic moments of a wedding day and it always produces the creamiest, dreamiest images.
