I have been so blessed seeing all of your goals for the new year as entries for the giveaway! So excited to see what is in store in 2013 for all of you. I am sure there are a few of you who came by the blog this week and still haven’t written out your goals for 2013 yet! You better get on that!
Here is another thing you can do to help you figure out what those goals should be. I think it is super important to write out what your ideal day would be so you can think about on a small scale what you want your life to be like. Walk yourself through the day and think about what things would make up your ideal day…and we are talking a real day here…not on the beach in Mexico…lol
So here is my ideal day:
7:00-8:00am – Getting up and spending time with The Lord. Journaling during this time. (I have had a few questions about how I Journal during my quiet time so I am hoping to write a blog post about that soon!)
8:00-11:00 – Getting things done around the house, working out, spending time playing with Stella.
11:00-12:00 – Lunch as a family
12:00- 6:00 – Working on what I love. Blogging, managing the office, teaching other photographers, and all sorts of wedding photography goodness.
6:00- 11:00 – Family time. There will be special circumstances where we work late, but for the most part I want the office door closed and to spend time with the people I love most.
So there you have it. Thinking through my ideal day has helped us set business hours and realize what I need to be doing to meet my goals! Most of all it has helped me to realize that living the life I want is super attainable, and I just need to be a bit more structured and plan, so that everything gets accomplished. Feel free to leave a comment and tell me part or all of your perfect day!
I have been reading so many encouraging start of the year blog posts and I wanted to pass this one along. My sweet friend Lara is writing an amazing series on Setting Goals and Making Things Happen in 2013. Highly encourage you read through it and do the steps that she has laid out, I will hopefully be blogging more about some of her steps soon!
