Love Never Fails | Beth + Brody

When we shot Beth ad Brody’s wedding in January we had no idea what the next few months would hold. As newlyweds they faced the news that no one ever wants to face. Beth had Leukemia. We have been amazed through this process to see the faith and courage that these two have had as they have battled this disease. We were incredibly honored that Southern Weddings told Beth and Brody’s story this past week and we wanted to show a few more images from this session. This ended up being Beth and Brody’s 6 month anniversary session, and though so much had changed in those 6 months going through hospital visits and Chemo, Beth and Brody’s love for each other has only grown stronger. Words really can’t describe how much we love these two and how grateful we are to have been a part of their lives, their strength and faith have been an example to us and a testimony of God’s goodness through it all.

Thank You to the amazing Vendors that helped with this shoot!

A New Look

We have been thinking about and planning our new blog and website for several months now and it is finally finished. We launched the blog a few weeks ago, and we have been busily working on the website. It is finally finished and we are thrilled with it. As we have grown as photographers and developed our style we have gained a better vision of exactly what we wanted, and this new site is it. We love how clean and elegant it is. It isn’t a huge change from what we had, just an updated more accurate representation of us, our work, and what we do.

We LOVE the fact that we use Showit for our website and have been able to design our website ourselves. The blog was designed for ProPhoto by Seaside Creative, and we think that they fit perfectly together. The process started with lots of notes on paper, sketches, things we loved about our previous site and things we knew we wanted to change.

Here is a little peek at what it looks like, and when you are ready check out and tell us what you think of the brand new site!

Chapel Dulcinea Austin Wedding | Kendra + Jason

Kendra and Jason’s sweet and intimate wedding made us fall in love with small weddings. Jason and Kendra had a gorgeous Austin Wedding at The Chapel Dulcinea surrounded by about 20 of their closest friends and family. The ceremony was meaningful and filled with love, and the reception at Salt Lick Cellars felt like a family dinner. We just adore the rustic Texas style of this wedding, and these two couldn’t be more adorable together.

Three Years

This morning as I scrolled though my Facebook newsfeed and saw birthday wishes and first day of school pictures something caught my eye. It was Anniversary wishes to the couple that we shot our very first wedding for three years ago. It is wonderful to see how their lives have changed in these past few years as they have moved, started new jobs and had their first child. It is amazing to me that what started three years ago as a dream in the back of my mind has now given us an amazing life, and become such a huge part of us.

A lot has changed in the past three years. We have moved our family to Texas, welcomed our precious little Stella, gone full time, and shot a lot more weddings. We have grown as photographers, and learned how to run a successful business. We have focused in on why we do what we do, and the fact that we desire to capture images that will be passed down from generation to generation. But, we will never forget the giddy feeling of shooting our very first wedding, or the way it feels to look at the back of your camera and know that you have captured a moment in time that can never be recreated.

So this morning I dug through the archives to find an image from Jennifer and Preston’s wedding day. We are so thankful to all of our couples for allowing us to be a part of their day, but we are especially grateful for these two and the couples that trusted us in the very beginning to capture their wedding. Happy Anniversary Jennifer and Preston.
