The happiest of Valentines days

I am such a girl and I love Valentines day, it helps that I happen to have the most amazing husband on the face of the earth. Did you see the sweetness he left on my blog. I had no idea that it was there and Icried when I read the sweet note that he had left for everyone to see. I have been so blessed to be able to spend everyday with my very best friend. Not only is he my very best friend but he also happens to be a fabulous present buyer…He bought me a Coach ring for Valentines day that we had stumbled on while I was getting my new bag a few weeks ago. I LOVE this ring…it is so fun, and it puts me in a good mood everytime I wear it! He also got me the prettiest purple flowers which make me smile when I walk through the door. They brighten my kitchen (even if it really needs to be cleaned at the moment). The other great thing that happened on Valentine’s day is that Anthropologie launched their new line of Bridal dresses, and accesories. It is called BHLDN and let me tell you it is fabulous! Check out their website because it is full of inspiration. I am dying to photograph a bride in a BHLDN dress! Also check out their accesories because they are fabulous!

I would definitely get married in the Ribboned Silk Gown and have my bridesmaids wear the Starburst Pleated Shift :)

Oh. My. Gosh!
Love your ring so much. How fantastic! LOVE!
And those dresses?
To die for fabulous.
So sweet he sent you a note on your blog!

I love that ring!! I think it is called the Miranda ring, if it’s the one I’m thinking of – it caught my attention because it reminded me of my sister. Love it!

Rick and Bethany – sneak peak

I have been editing this wedding over the past few days and I am not quite finished with it yet, but I thought that I would give a little taste of this gorgeous wedding. Rick and Bethany are some of the sweetest people you could ever meet and I am just so happy for them. Check back often because I will be posting lots more photos from their wedding soon!

Happy V-Day from Jeremy

I feel slightly guilty that I know Kristin’s passwords to every account online and her blog, but that’s the joy of marriage :) If you haven’t figure it out yet, this is Jeremy writing on Kristin’s blog. Every once and a while I think it’s fun to tell the world who Kristin is from my point of view. Not as a photographer, not as business professional, but as a friend. My friend. My best friend.

It’s crazy to think that we have been together for over three years now. When I look back at previous Valentine Days I think of happiness and laughter, but as this year rolls around I am filled with emotions of gratefulness and love. It may sound cheesy, but it’s the truth. Never before have I been so “head-over-heals” for anything.

So for this year’s Valentine’s Day I’m proud to announce that I am in love with my wife and so excited for what the future holds. Excited for weddings. Excited for business. But REALLY excited for our love and friendship to continue to grow and blossom.

During our photo shoot the other week, we officially labeled this as the “I’m a Rock Star!” pose… How many people can say they’re married to a Rock Star?! haha…

Love you Kristin…

Always, Jeremy

Bethany’s Bridals

Now that Bethany is a married lady, I can show off her stunning bridal portraits. We had so much fun on this bridal shoot, wandering all around town getting some gorgeous photos of Bethany. I can’t remember how many times Bethany has told me that she is not photogenic, and that she is not a good “poser”. I beg to differ! I think that being in her wedding dress, brought out a whole new side of Bethany, you could just tell that she felt beautiful which showed in every single one of her photos. One thing I LOVE about Bethany is that she is such a southern belle, seriously she is always the epitome of grace and classic elegance.

Bethany, you are stunning and you are sweet to back it up. It was an honor to take these photos of you and to photograph your wedding. I wish you and Rick all the best.

GORGEOUS.. gorgeous bride and gorgeous captures! Congrats to the couple :)

[…] favorite pictures are taken in places that are a little out of the ordinary. A few weeks ago I shot Bethany’s bridal portraits and one of my favorite photos from the session was one taken in a little alley that was not pretty […]

I am in love with…fonts

I hope that I am not the only one that goes through phases of obsession with things. In all honesty I have always been that way, I don’t usually just “like” something, my love for things (like photography, and blog stalking) usually borders on obsession. I like to say that I am passionate though…sounds much better. A few weeks ago when I did a big update of my website I discovered something that I am passionate about…fonts. In the search to find the perfect fonts for my website I became slightly obsessed with typography. I was looking through some of my favorite magazines to find what looks I liked best, and I discovered that often editorials will mix fonts which creates a very modern look. Something about it just made me fall in love, so if you look around my website you will find lots of fonts…don’t be confused I meant to do that.

The best thing about all of these fonts is that there are so many websites where you can find them for free. Just google “free fonts” and you will be amazed at what you find.

It is amazing to me the feeling that different fonts can portray. The same thing written in several different fonts can portray completely different things. If you own a business, think about what the fonts on your website, or business card say about you. If you are a bride, think about what the font on your invitations and programs convey to your guests, and try to make it as personal as possible .

{Edited to add: I just realized that my “I am in love with” logo is the perfect example of my mixing fonts obsession.}

And just because I had to add a photo, here is a gorgeous bouquet from Josh and Karen’s winter wedding.

I’m glad to know that I’m not the only one obsessed with fonts! One of my favorite site is Dafont.com. They have a lot of free fonts there! :D

Btw, I absolutely love your logos! :D

I like pretty fonts too! I am confused about how to save them and insert them into things though! Darn it : )
I love your blog. I am visiting your comment to Jasmine Star today. I am so glad I stopped over. What a great place!

Oh my word you took the words right out of my mouth. I have recently become head over heels in love with fonts :) I’m so glad to find someone who shares my obsession. Hugs :)
