It’s Thursday, which means it is time for more randomness!
I know I have talked before about how Jeremy and I have date night…but it is kind of an obsession of ours. Granted we have been married two years so sometimes these dates involve trips to the grocery store, but we love them just the same. This week we had a few great dates, the first was a trip to Marble Slab…and let me tell you their Birthday Cake Ice cream is basically the best thing ever. Creamiest, most delicious stuff ever.
We had to have another date night when I saw a commercial for Olive Garden’s never ending pasta bowl. I am pretty sure Jeremy uttered the phrase “I was born for this”, when referring to the endless amounts of pasta, salad and breadsticks he consumed.
I must say that since moving from Florida to Texas one the things that I have missed (other than the obvious beach) was Publix. If you don’t know what Publix is, you are missing out. It is the best grocery store that is immaculately clean where they push your cart to your car and unload your groceries. (Now you see why grocery shopping could be considered a date!) Alas, there is not a Publix here in TX, but this week we discovered an awesome upscale farmers market a la Whole Foods. We walked in and Jeremy said “It is clean like Publix” We happily bought our organic produce in this amazing store which made me want to eat granola…can’t wait to go back.
While consuming our pasta at Olive Garden, Jeremy proposed that we go see a movie. I couldn’t resist, because who doesn’t love the thrill of smuggling your own candy into the theater instead of paying 6 bucks for some Milk Duds…please tell me I am not the only one that does this. Of course, we still bought the $6 popcorn! We saw Crazy, Stupid Love, and let met tell you I was impressed…best movie I have seen in a long while. A romantic comedy that actually spurred on deep conversation on the way home. I laughed, I cried and I walked out of the theater a little more in love with my best friend…seriously go see it, it is worth spending $6 on popcorn.
Since all of this randomness has to do with things I love, here is a picture of me with the one thing I love most. Don’t worry it isn’t the ice cream, or any of the yumminess from Olive Garden.
